Appointments for consultations with visiting specialists/services are to be made directly with the specialists’ services’ rooms and may require a referral from your GP. Speak to your GP for more information. Your GP can provide you with contact details and referral.

Pathology Service

Location – Pathology services are located at the Edwin Russell Building adjacent to the Hospital.

Parking – is available in Villers Street.

Austin Pathology provide services including:

  • Routine blood and urine tests
  • ECGs

No appointments are necessary for routine tests. Some tests require a period of fasting or other fluid or dietary modifications prior to completing and therefore require appointed time schedules. Austin Pathology staff will be able to advise and assist you in scheduling an appropriate.  Appointment times are between the hours of Monday- Friday 7.30am – 5pm and Saturday 8:00am-12:00pm (closed on all public holidays). Antenatal & Maternity Services

Antenatal & Maternity Services are not available at Seymour District Memorial Hospital. If you require antenatal and maternity services please refer to Kilmore District Hospital – Phone: 5734 2000.

Needle and Syringe Program (NSP)

The Needle and Syringe Program (NSP) is a Victorian Government Strategy aimed to minimise the spread of HIV and Hepatitis C and other blood-borne viruses among intravenous drug users.

The Program acknowledges that people may engage in risky activities and seeks to reduce the harm associated with those activities.

Seymour Health participates in this fully funded program by providing a non-judgmental and confidential service.

  • Access to sterile needles and syringes 24 hours per day
  • Safe disposal of used needles and syringes
  • Safer using practices
  • Safer sexual practices
  • Information on risks and transmission of blood-borne viruses
  • Promotion of general health and wellbeing

Mental Health

Goulburn Valley Mental Health Service provides Seymour Health with 24-hour mental health advice and support.

Adult Mental Health Service (AMHS)

AMHS services people aged between 16 – 65 years

APMHS provides assessment, treatment, case management, acute care and psychogeriatric nursing home care for eligible people over the age of 65 years.

CAMHS is an outpatient service providing assessment, treatment and support for young people (aged between 0 – 18 years) and their families who are having serious problems with emotions, learning, thoughts and behaviours.

I-MED is Seymour Health’s contracted radiology provider.
