Seymour Health (SH) is a leading integrated small rural health service located an hour north or Melbourne via the Hume Freeway.  We are a 30-bed public facility which provides public and private acute medical and surgical, renal dialysis and day procedure along with post-acute care, palliative care, district nursing, sub-acute ambulatory services and a broad range of community and home-based services.

Safe Patient Care Act

Under Section 12A of the Safe Patient Care Act, Seymour Health is required to publish mixed ward ratio calculations.

Seymour Health currently has one mixed ward, incorporating Acute Inpatient Services and Renal Dialysis.

Morning Shift: 1 Nurse in charge + 1 Nurse to 6 patients
Afternoon Shift: 1 Nurse in charge + 1 Nurse to 7 patients
Night Shift: 1 Nurse in charge + 1 Nurse to 10 patients
