Smiles 4 Miles

Smiles 4 Miles is an initiative of Dental Health Services Victoria (DHSV) which aims to improve the oral health of children and their families. Tooth decay is Australia’s most common health problem. Smiles 4 Miles assists early childhood services to encourage and promote good oral health habits and health eating among children in their care.

Seymour Health supports the implementation of this program in Early Childhood services across Mitchell, Murrindindi and lower Strathbogie shires. The three key messages of the Smiles 4 Miles program are Eat Well, Drink Well and Clean well.

Smile Squad

Smile Squad™ is an important Victorian Government public health initiative that will see all children at government schools receive quality dental care from prep through to year 12. The program will be supported by a campaign to create awareness among teachers, parents and school children, aimed at ensuring maximum uptake of the dental services the program delivers.
