Seymour Health has a proud and rich history of philanthropy. Since its beginnings, when the original Seymour Soldiers Memorial Hospital was established and officially opened on 9 May 1920, over a century ago. This was made possible through being funded by public subscription and donations.

How your contribution helps
Community donations allow us to:
- Upgrade lifesaving equipment and facilities so patients can receive advanced care locally in safe, comfortable spaces for treatment and recovery
- Expand our health, wellbeing and aged care services to meet local need
- Provide advanced training and staff development through scholarships that will assist in attracting and retaining skilled healthcare professionals in our region
Equipment
- Support us directly by donating so we can purchase much needed state of the art equipment
- Whether it’s a new surgical endoscope, ECG machine or a defibrillator – equipment helps our team provide the best care when it matters
- We need your help to purchase the latest equipment needed in our organisation whether it be in our urgent care centre, dialysis unit, operating suites, patient wards, residential aged care service or our community and home-based services

Giving in lieu of flowers – Remembering a loved one
Giving in lieu of flowers is a special way to commemorate the life of a loved one.
You may also wish to invite your family and friends to remember and celebrate your special person by making a gift to Seymour Health.
In-memory Donation Cards can be made available for a funeral, wake or other commemorative service allowing people to make a donation in lieu of flowers. Donations can be directed to specific areas of the organisation allowing you to support the area which cared for you or your loved one.
